Mellow Mushroom Lynchburg

My fiancé and I have been to many Mellow Mushrooms in the past year, and this is the best one we have been to! The service is great, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the food is always delicious! The GM, Bob, is fantastic! Bob has helped us with navigating our catering journey for our wedding, and we couldn't ask for a better guide; everything from the menu, set up, and servers, he was able to sit down with us, and it was clear that making sure our wedding dinner runs smoothly was his priority. He makes things feel personal, and he speaks to you like family! The service is always top notch, warm, and inviting. This place is a 100/10!

Shout out to SAM!! I ordered my favorite pizza from Mellow, the Holly Shitake. When I got home, I discovered that it wasn’t cooked all the way. I called and reported the issue, and Sam offered me a refund or a free pizza the next time I visited. Either option would have been okay, but then he asked how far away I lived, which was about 15 minutes (it was a hot summer day, and I didn’t feel like driving back). To my surprise, he personally delivered a fresh pizza to me! He truly deserves an award for his exceptional customer service. 🍕🍕😁😁

Mellow Mushroom in Lynchburg, a place that appears to have been founded when a pizza chef, a wizard, and a slightly rebellious hippie all accidentally signed the same lease agreement. On this particular expedition, our guide through the enchanted kingdom was Destiny, a beautiful, and remarkably attentive server who seemed to possess the supernatural ability to appear exactly when needed. Empty drink? Destiny materializes. Need napkins? Destiny already knew. Thinking about asking a question? Destiny somehow answered it three minutes ago. The journey began with the Cheese Pizza Rolls. Now, most restaurants serve appetizers as a polite suggestion to wait for the real food. Not these. These things arrived looking like golden treasure chests stuffed with molten cheese. One bite in and the cheese stretched farther than my retirement plans. Crispy outside. Gooey inside. The kind of appetizer that causes everyone at the table to suddenly become territorial and start counting pieces. Then came the Mighty Meaty pizza. Ladies and gentlemen, this pizza did not come to participate. It came to conquer. This wasn’t a pizza. This was a summit meeting of every meat that ever dreamed of gre

The waitress makes the restaurant experience. 14 person birthday party. And what started out a sad thing, I actually have to say that My only desire was for a coffee... And of course.... machine is broke or....etc... and YET, Somehow? Someway, our Waitress, She knows who she is, lol, Found me a coffee. It was the best darn coffee I have ever been given, because of her. So I needed to amend my review Happily. My brother and I were easily the two oldest men in the building, lol. On Derby Day on top, Packed.....and she had 14 party.... Thank you for making an old man smile,

January 31, 2026 - When traveling and you’re looking for good pizza . . . stop and try “ Mellow Mushroom’s” pizza! 🍕 Our first time stop ( Lynchburg, VA) at one of the 160 locations of Mellow Mushroom . . . 🍄 This organization started in Atlanta , GA back in 1974! Over 50 years later, expanded in 17 states east of the Mississippi River! Wasn’t crowded, the decor caught my eye! Maybe folks know of “ the healing properties” of magic mushrooms? ( wink 😉) Looks like a fun place, good size bar, several strategically placed TVs around the restaurant, for those who like to catch their favorite sports team in action! 😃👍 Our server, Wendy, handed us several colorful menus . . . convinced us of the freshness of a Greek style salad ! I was impressed with the beer selections ! I asked Wendy if the bar tender could fashion a “ black & tan” ? No problem! After enjoying our Greek salad, Wendy asked if we liked to order an entree? We prefer a relaxed dining routine. . . sometimes when placing a salad & pizza order both items arrive at the same time! So we place our pizza order after finishing our salad. . . gives us time to talk politics & religion😳 , and our Grandkids ! 👍👍 Our pepperon
